Common name: Sweet plantain (English), Saba or Cardaba (Filipino)
Local name: Manaba (Tagabawa), Cardaba or Carnaba (Bisaya)
Indication: For grabe na menit e lawa (Tagabawa), kalintura na grabe (Bisaya)
Plant part used: Inner, white portion of the cardava fruit
Method of Preparation: Poultice- Get the white part of the carnava then pound it until totally minced then wrap it with young banana leaf.
Direction for use: Apply the pounded fruit wrapped in a banana leaf on different heat points of the febrile patients, e.g. the forehead, armpits, neck, etc.
Additional information: Grabe na menit e lawa refers to febrile convulsion.
